Job Description

Position: Bilingual Onsite IT /Desktop Support LeadRole Overview:As an Onsite IT Onsite/Desktop Support Lead, you will ensure and deliver excellent IT services to our client/ end users and execute all assigned IT activities along with the existing team members (~5 engineers) located in Japan. As a part of the Local Onsite IT support team, you will ensure client's day-to-day IT operations and when/ as needed, visit different sites within Japan to provide support. You will follow Global IT Operations guidelines, ensure compliance, and seek improvements whenever feasible.Key Responsibilities (not limited to):Team Management: Lead and mentor the desktop support team.Infrastructure Management: Oversee desktop infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.Technical Support: Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for desktop systems.Process Improvement: Develop and implement desktop management best practices.Security Management: Ensure desktop systems are secure and compliant.Collaboration: Coordinate with other IT teams for integrated solutions.Project Management: Lead desktop infrastructure projects to successful completion.Client and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with the client, hardware and software vendors.Reporting: To HCL management and client as neededQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.8+ years in IT infrastructure support and management, with 3+ years in a leadership/ team management role.Expertise in desktop infrastructure (Windows and macOS).Proven desktop support and troubleshooting experience.Knowledge of desktop security and compliance.Strong leadership and communication skills.Problem-solving and analytical abilities.Experience in project and vendor management.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.Bilingual of English and Japanese (high-business level (N1+), with solid experience working in Japanese speaking work environment). High business proficiency in reading, writing/ typing and speaking in both languages.
