Operational BuyerOur client is looking for an Operational Buyer for their growing procurement team.They offer independent responsibilities, a forward-looking employer, and a secure role within a strategically important central department. Your skills will contribute directly to strengthening procurement strategies and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.Your RoleOperational ProcurementTake responsibility for day-to-day procurement activities within SAP S/4 HANA and Coupa.Execute planning runs, manage purchase requests, and oversee ordering processes for both IT and non-IT categories (hardware, software, services, etc.).Monitor stock levels and support efficient inventory management aligned with business needs.SourcingAssist Category Managers and Buyers throughout the sourcing lifecycle, from preparation to contract award.Manage smaller sourcing activities independently, with guidance from senior procurement colleagues.Procurement ProcessesSupport the end-to-end procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.Use Coupa to run tenders (RFP, RFQ), track procurement activities, and maintain documentation.Provide regular reporting on sourcing activities, order status, and market insights.Research & InnovationConduct supplier and market analysis, prepare data-driven insights, and recommend improvements to sourcing activities.Apply your academic or professional knowledge to support innovation within procurement.CollaborationBuild strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.What You BringLanguages: Fluent in both English and German (additional European languages are a plus).Experience: A completed commercial apprenticeship or degree in economics, IT, or related fields. 2–3 years’ procurement experience, ideally with exposure to SAP master data and/or accounts payable. Familiarity with procurement tools such as Coupa is advantageous.IT Skills: Strong affinity with IT. Hands-on experience with procurement platforms (Coupa, SAP Ariba). Solid knowledge of SAP MM (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA). Confident with MS Office, especially Excel. Understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, clients, datacenters, software) is desirable.Personality: Precise, structured, and detail-oriented. Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
