Operational Finance Manager

We are assisting a client in sourcing an experienced Operational Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations, strengthen financial processes, and support the business with accurate reporting and analysis. This role requires a strong operational focus, hands-on leadership style, and solid technical expertise across accounting, cash management and working capital functions.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting & Financial ManagementOversee daily financial operations.Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly flash results.Conduct gross profit (GP) analysis.Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly management accounts and financial statements.Develop and implement financial strategies that support business goals.Approve and manage credit notes.Monitor cash flow, budgets and forecasts, and recommend improvements.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.Drive cost-saving initiatives and improve overall financial performance.Supervise, mentor and develop the finance team.Provide financial support across the business.Review and analyse payroll.Manage cashbook and daily banking processes.Handle annual rate reviews and implement increases.Debtors & Creditors ManagementDirect and supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).Oversee debtors age analysis and invoice submissions.Manage allocations and ensure accuracy.Approve credit limits and credit notes.Manage intercompany creditors.Review payments and reconciliations for all third-party creditors.Minimum QualificationsBCom Honours with completed articles (essential)RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ financial management experienceStrong knowledge of financial management, reporting and analysisProven ability to support strategic financial decision-makingAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial softwareExcellent communication and leadership skillsHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilitiesIf you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please consider your application unsuccessful at this time.
