Apply today and be part of something bigger.Number of positions: 2The role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.This is a Fixed Term role.Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Quality DrivingConduct daily inspections and basic maintenance prior to usage.Ensure that the vehicle is maintained and cleaned according to set schedule.Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher-level technical support to vehicle/s.Communicate any stumbling blocks to the appropriate Shift / Team Supervisor so that plans can be made.Ensure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment is conducted.Identify opportunities to improve operations.Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasksHelp to load and unload vehicle/s by operating the lift platform and crane if required.Drive vehicle according to load.Maintain following distances.Report to supervisor when task complete.Obtain daily / weekly work instructions and instructions from Shift / Team Supervisor.Ensure proper understanding of the required actions and orders.Apply recognised work, driving and safety standards.This role is at a Band 9 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.QualificationsGrade 12Valid external training certificates - various surface mobile equipmentValid applicable drivers LicenceValid applicable Professional Drivers PermitExperience, Technical Knowledge SkillsFive years’ experience as Specialised Surface Mobile Equipment and/or Heavy Mobile Equipment operator.VTS testing suitable grading.Certified competent as a Utility Vehicle OperatorDriving Skills: Applying safe driving techniques, such as maintaining a safe following distance and being aware of surroundings.Traffic laws and regulations: Understanding and following all local, state, and federal traffic laws.Hazardous material handling and loading skills: Safely transporting dangerous goods in compliance with all regulations (for specific roles).Emergency response: Knowing how to react quickly and effectively in case of an accident or other emergency.Additional InformationWhat We OfferAt Valterra Platinum, you will join a team committed to excellence and impact.We OfferMeaningful work in a high-performance, values-led environment.Market-aligned reward and recognition.Opportunities for learning, development and progression.A culture that respects diversity and encourages innovation.A clear commitment to safe Operations.Inclusion and DiversityValterra Platinum is an equal opportunities employer.
