Job DescriptionOversight and implementation of Operational Risk related activities in ShopeePay under RM with compliance to BSP Circular 971, 900, and relevant BSP circulars on Operational Risk Management.The Operational Risk Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational risk framework and alignment with the Enterprise-Wide Risk Framework within the organization. This role involves identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks including related risks (i.e. Human-related risk, Liquidity risk, BCP, among others)ente across various business units and functions. The ORMO works closely with senior management, business unit leaders, and other risk management officers to ensure that effective operational risk management practices are implemented and maintained throughout the organization.Identify and assess operational risks associated with the organization’s business activities, processes, systems, and external factors.Conduct risk and control self-assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of operational risks on the organization's objectives and operations. Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to identify emerging risks and assess their potential implications.Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and other relevant metrics to track changes in the organization's operational risk profile.Monitor the effectiveness of risk controls and mitigation efforts and recommend enhancements or adjustments as needed.Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate operational risks and enhance the organization's risk resilience. Work with business units to design and implement effective controls, safeguards, and risk mitigation measures to address identified risks.Coordinate the organization’s response to operational incidents, including breaches, failures, and disruptions. Assess operational incidents to determine root causes, assess impact, and identify opportunities for improvement.Promote a strong risk culture throughout the organization by fostering awareness, understanding, and accountability for operational risks. Provide training and guidance to employees on operational risk management principles, practices, and procedures.Encourage proactive risk identification and reporting behaviors among employees at all levels of the organization.RequirementsBachelor's Degree / 4-Year Course GraduatePreferably in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accountancy, Management, or related disciplines5-7 years of experience in Risk Management in a bank settingWith experience on managing operational risk in a bank setting, specifically in policy formulation and implementation of Operational Risk Management Framework and other related policies & procedures (e.g., new product approval, outsourcing, risk incident management, RCSA, BCM)Possess solid understanding on banking-related applications and technologies in terms of products and supporting services, system and business operation procedures, risk management, regulatory compliance, etc.Has strong knowledge of BSP regulations and other banking-related laws and regulationsExperience in people managementProblem solving skills and a positive constructive attitude are a mustComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environmentProficiency in English written and verbal communication. Comfortable presenting to Senior Management team and/or Board.
