With over two decades of international and local experience, we deliver innovative, high-quality, and large-scale sustainable energy solutions for clients.Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and skilled Operations Coordinator to support our project delivery and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, or civil projects, with proven experience in project management within the electrical installation, power generation, or construction sectors.This role involves both in-office coordination and on-site supervision throughout the KRG and Iraq.Key Responsibilities (Assisted by the rest of the team):• Assist the Directing Manager in planning, scheduling, and managing all phases of project execution.• Supervise on-site works, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical specifications, and project schedules.• Oversee day-to-day operations and office management tasks when not deployed on-site.• Coordinate effectively with engineers, technicians, workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project flow.• Prepare progress reports and other documentation.• Monitor project timelines, quality control, and cost management.• Support procurement and logistics activities for materials and equipment.• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning when required.• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues promptly.• Enforce adherence to company policies, health and safety (HSE) standards, and quality procedures.Mandatory Qualifications:• Minimum academic requirement is a University degree.Minimum 5 years work experience• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project management or supervision within the power generation, civil, construction, or electrical installation sectors.• At least a basic technical understanding of energy and power systems.• Proficiency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic (spoken and written).• Basic computer skills and fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.• Valid driver’s license (required).• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.Learning-focused and inquisitive.Desired Optional Qualifications:Experience in the solar energy sector.Plus points for experience or fluency in: AutoCAD and other design software, Simulation tools related to engineering and energy systems, and AI tools.Academic degree in Engineering.Basic Accounting Skills.Experience with international companies, suppliers, or NGOs.Knowledge of International Standards (ISO, IEC, etc.)Additional certifications from professional training courses and language skill programs.Academic or work experience abroad.Additional languages spoken.What We Offer:• Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.• Opportunities for professional growth in the renewable energy sector.• Supportive and collaborative work environment.• Exposure to large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across Iraq and the KRI.• The opportunity to gain a foothold in a rapidly growing global market and be part of the future of global energy, offering lifelong career opportunities in renewable energy.For any questions, contact this email address: yar@progress-sun.comFor additional information on our company, visit our LinkedIn profile or our website at: www.progress-sun.com
