About The JobThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory to ensure efficient production of high-quality building materials while maintaining safety, cost control, and timely delivery. The role ensures optimal utilization of resources to achieve production targets and business objectives.ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and supervise daily production activities and ensure production targets are met in line with quality standards.Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance schedules.Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications by oversee quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods.Address production defects and implement corrective actions.Maintain quality documentation and compliance records.Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods and coordinate procurement of materials to avoid shortages.Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and control wastage and prevent material losses.Enforce workplace health and safety policies and ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations.Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments and promote a safe working environment for all staff.Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, and factory workers.Develop staff schedules and manage shift allocations.Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of factory equipment by ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely.Plan equipment upgrades when necessary and coordinate with technicians for repairs and servicing.Monitor operational expenses and control production costs.Support budgeting and cost forecasting activities.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.Analyze operational data and recommend improvements by ensure proper documentation of processes and compliance records.Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue by identify new business opportunities, contractors, and distributors.Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demands.Prepare monthly sales reports and revenue forecasts.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in factory/production management (preferably building materials industry).Strong understanding of production planning and process optimization.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment.Apply now
