Our Joinery Division is renowned for precision craftsmanship, exceptional quality, and seamless integration of design and execution.The Operations Manager – Joinery will oversee the end-to-end operations of the joinery division, ensuring efficient production, timely project delivery, and adherence to quality, cost, and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-end construction environment.Key Responsibilities1. Operational ManagementLead and manage day-to-day joinery operations from production planning to installation.Coordinate workflow between design, technical, procurement, production, and site installation teams.Ensure smooth project execution in alignment with project timelines, specifications, and budgets.Oversee allocation of manpower, materials, and machinery for optimal productivity.Maintain production schedules, monitor progress, and resolve bottlenecks proactively.2. Quality & ComplianceImplement and uphold Alpago’s quality standards across all joinery outputs.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to specifications and finishes.Collaborate with the QC team to ensure compliance with ISO and internal QA/QC procedures.Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with UAE HSE regulations.3. Financial & Resource ManagementPrepare and monitor operational budgets, cost reports, and resource utilization.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce wastage of materials or time.Support procurement planning for raw materials, hardware, and finishes in coordination with suppliers.4. Team LeadershipSupervise and develop a team of production engineers, supervisors, foremen, and skilled carpenters.Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs.Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operational areas.5. Client & Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with Project Managers, Designers, and Clients to ensure design intent and expectations are met.Attend project meetings, present progress reports, and manage operational challenges.Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors for specialized joinery works as required.6. Process ImprovementDevelop and implement SOPs for joinery production, installation, and maintenance.Introduce process automation, digital tracking, or ERP tools to enhance operational transparency.Drive innovation in materials, machinery, and finishes to maintain Alpago’s luxury benchmark.7. Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport other business units or departments when operational input is required.Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned to ensure project success.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design (preferred).Minimum 10 years of experience in joinery operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Proven experience in high-end/luxury fit-out and joinery projects in the UAE.Strong understanding of joinery materials, machinery, production techniques, and finishing standards.Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and production management software.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Key CompetenciesStrategic planning and executionLeadership and team managementQuality and cost controlTime management and problem-solvingClient relationship managementHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE) awareness
