Olympia Tile+Stone Inc. is the largest importer of tile in Canada and a key supplier in the United States.Why This Role MattersThe Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of our warehouse function at our Toronto branch. Overseeing logistics, fleet management, compliance, and operational planning, this role is central to driving performance through clear metrics, KPIs, and strong leadership of the warehouse team.What You’ll DoLead and oversee the daily operations of warehouse and transportation teams through direct supervision of the Warehouse and Transportation ManagersDevelop, monitor, and analyze KPIs and operational metrics to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency, accuracy, safety, and customer service.Manage annual operational budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization across logistics and warehouse functions.Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations related to warehousing, transportation, health & safety, and environmental standards.Oversee fleet management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance.Lead health and safety initiatives, embedding a culture of safe practices and proactive risk management across operations.Implement best practices in logistics, warehouse management, and transportation to optimize processes and reduce costs.Partner with senior leadership to design and execute strategic operational plans that align with company growth and service goals.Coach, mentor, and develop supervisory staff to foster strong leadership and team performance.Produce regular operational reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and solutions.Who You AreCollege or University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.Minimum of 7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, ideally in distribution, warehousing, or logistics.Proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and operational KPIs.Strong knowledge of warehouse, transportation, and fleet management practices.Solid understanding of compliance and occupational health & safety regulations.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.Strong leadership, communication, and people management abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to ERP/WMS systems an asset.What We OfferComprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, and more)Pension matchPaid vacation and holidaysOpportunities for growth and skill development in a supportive environmentHow to ApplyIf you are a results-driven operations leader looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!
