Position SummaryThe Operations and Portfolio Accounting Associate is primarily responsible for executing day-to-day account processing and reconciliation, including client account administration, trade settlement, cash management, wires, pricing, corporate actions, proxy voting, billing, compliance monitoring, and client reporting. The ideal candidate will have the initiative to take ownership of these responsibilities and the skills to execute them independently, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This role requires on-site work in Century City during the training period. After successful completion of training, a hybrid work schedule may be available.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:- Perform daily trade, cash, and equity reconciliations; resolve settlement issues, trade breaks, and discrepancies with custodians, brokerage firms and accounting systems to mitigate risk.- Provide trade instructions, allocation details, and affirmation confirms to custodians/brokerage firms.- Confirm wire instructions, management fee payments, and process client cash, security withdrawals, and contribution requests for SMAs and sub-advised accounts.- Monitor and process corporate actions, including income, voluntary and mandatory events, class actions, proxy voting, collateral movements, and margin balances for managed accounts and funds.- Support daily, weekly, and month-end security pricing for portfolio managers and traders.- Calculate fee accruals and month-end account performance.- Prepare quarterly and semi-annual client billing and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.- Assist with annual year-end audits, preparing supporting schedules and liaising with auditors.- Manage monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc client reporting; respond to client audit requests.- Facilitate new account onboarding, funding, investments, and account terminations/transfers.- Respond to inquiries from clients, business partners, and coworkers, delivering high-quality service.- Maintain compliance with internal controls and procedures; update SOPs as needed.Position Qualifications and Requirements (education, years of experience, other skills, etc.)- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.- 2 to 4 years of direct experience in middle/back office operations, including trade settlement, exchange systems, finance, investment accounting, investment guidelines, or investor relations.- Strong working knowledge of Excel, order management systems, and accounting systems.- Analytical and creative problem solver, able to work accurately and independently.- Experience working under pressure and managing multiple tasks in a collaborative setting.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational skills.- Ability to take over responsibilities, set priorities, and ensure quality service and high accuracy.- High level of motivation, commitment, and integrity.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The essentials of the position include, but are not limited to, the above mentioned duties.Compensation: The base salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience, plus bonus.
