Join us and take your place in space.Job SummaryThe Travel Accounting and Services organization is responsible for providing end to end travel services starting with making a travel reservation to reimbursing employee expenses after the trip. The Travel & Accounting Specialist will be responsible for reviewing the accuracy of Travel and Expense Reports, Purchase Card (PCard) statement reconciliations, and other accounting documents in accordance with The Aerospace Corporation’s policies and procedures.The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our El Segundo, CA facility. What You’ll Be DoingReview and approve Travel and Expense Reports in accordance with company policies and procedures ensuring that transactions are posted accurately in SAPAssist with reviewing and approving PCard statements ensuring that transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and appropriate expenses and sales taxes are posted accurately in SAPWork closely with employees in interpreting company policies and provide guidance on how to reconcile their Travel & Expense Reports and PCard statementsPerform month-end and year-end closing tasks including accruals, monthly account reconciliations, journal entriesRespond to audit requests and provide information as neededContribute to system and process improvements to support initiatives and projectsPerform duties within the Travel Accounting including reconciliation of Concur/SAP Interfaces, administer AMEX Corporate Cards, cost transfers, airfare reconciliationWhat You Need To Be SuccessfulMinimum Requirements for the Accounting Specialist II: 3 to 5 years of relevant experienceExperience with Corporate Card products including account managementStrong knowledge of accounting, accounting system, and company policiesExperience as a functional SAP user or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) toolsExperience as a functional user of Concur Travel and Expense System or similar expense reimbursement toolsProficiency in standard office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelStrong written and oral communication skillsIn addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Accounting Specialist III: Six or more years of relevant experienceHow You Can Stand OutIt would be impressive if you have one or more of these:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field Experience with system implementation and/or process improvementsWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
