Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Farming Manager, the Operations Officer - Contract growers is responsible for coordinating and supervising site operations to meet production objectives. A key focus of this role is the daily follow-up and monitoring of contract growers, ensuring that agreed standards, procedures, and company objectives are consistently met. The role involves regular communication with growers, internal teams, and support departments, as well as accurate reporting of operational performance. Key Responsabilities: A. Contract Grower Management: Conduct daily follow-up with all contract growers. Verify feed delivery, usage, and feed conversion ratios.
Check flock health, mortality, and veterinary treatment compliance. Ensure biosecurity protocols are strictly implemented. Confirm proper housing conditions (ventilation, lighting, litter, water, hygiene). Monitor growth performance against expected standards. Validate data records provided by growers (feed, water, mortality, production). Provide immediate feedback and corrective action to growers when deviations are observed. Cascade company decisions, technical advice, and production plans to growers. Prepare daily reports to Farming Manager on grower performance. B. Operations Coordination: Support the implementation of production plans and schedules. Coordinate feed, chick, and medication deliveries with logistics and supply chain teams.
Track and report operational KPIs (mortality rate, feed conversion, growth performance). Ensure compliance with company standards and production targets. C. Communication and reporting: Serve as the main point of contact between Avipro and contract growers. Escalate challenges and propose solutions to the Operations Manager. Document site visits, audit results, and recommendations. Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries. Knowledge, Skills and Experience requiered: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in poultry production (experience with contract grower management is an added advantage). Strong organizational and reporting skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
