Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing eye exams to determine the presence of vision problems and eye diseases. They will also prescribe corrective lenses or eye treatments, provide pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries, educate patients on eye health, and maintain accurate patient records. The Optometrist will also assist in managing and operating the optometry clinic. Qualifications Strong clinical skills in performing eye exams and diagnosing vision problems and eye diseasesExperience in prescribing corrective lenses and recommending treatmentsExcellent patient care and communication skills to educate patients on eye healthAbility to provide pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeriesProficiency in maintaining accurate patient recordsExperience in managing or operating an optometry clinic is a plusBachelor's degree in Optometry or a related fieldLicensed to practice optometry in KenyaExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently in a team environment
