OverviewWe are seeking a diligent and highly skilled Circulating and Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team. In this dual-functioning role, you will be the backbone of the operating theater, ensuring that every procedure—from complex surgeries to routine endoscopies—is executed with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.You aren’t just an assistant; you are a vital collaborator working alongside surgeons and anesthesiologists to maintain a sterile field and advocate for patient safety when it matters most.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of the operating room before surgery.Ensure proper documentation and verification of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.Verify patient identification, surgical site, and procedure with the surgical team.Safeguard patient safety and maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure.Manage and document the use of medications and solutions during surgery.Communicate with the surgical team regarding any changes in the procedure or the patient’s condition.Handle and document specimens collected during surgery.Monitor the operating room’s environmental conditions and maintain aseptic technique.Facilitate the transition of the patient to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) after surgery.Scrub Nurse Responsibilities:Prepare the surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use.Maintain the sterile field during the surgical procedure.Hand surgical instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team as needed.Account for all surgical instruments and supplies before and after the procedure.Assist with wound closure and dressing application.Maintain a high standard of infection control in the operating room.Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials, sharps, and biomedical waste.Assist in the proper cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments.Anesthesia Nurse: An anesthesia nurse is responsible for assisted the Anesthesiologist doctor with administering anesthesia, monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery, and ensuring their safety and comfort. They play a critical role in the operating theater, especially in endoscopy procedures, and provide post-anesthesia care in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).QUALIFICATIONRN licensure with preferred experience as anesthesia nurse.In-depth knowledge of anesthesia techniques and medications.Proficiency in patient assessment and monitoring.Critical thinking and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a high-stress environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Understanding of endoscopy procedures and anesthesia management in OT.Familiarity with preoperative and postoperative care protocolsHow To ApplyInterested and qualified applicants should submit your updated Cover Letter and CV stating the position applied for with your current photo (4×6) through recruitment@intercarehospital.com
