Job SummaryOur US-based client is a leading solar energy solutions provider in Texas, committed to delivering efficient and sustainable power to our communities. They are looking for a detail-oriented PV Designer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and modifying photovoltaic (PV) system drawing sets using AutoCAD and specialized design tools. You will ensure all projects adhere to structural, electrical, and installation standards while complying with local and national codes.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, experience in solar electric system design or construction, and a solid understanding of residential or commercial construction processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, review, and modify PV system drawing sets in AutoCAD and custom software toolsAdhere to PV system design criteria including structural, electrical, equipment, and installation parametersComply with local and national code requirements in project jurisdictionsMeet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high fluctuations in work volume during the end of the month or on specific days of the monthRequirementsDegree in Engineering is a mustAdvanced English level to communicate effectively with other departments and customers. PV KnowledgeKnowledge of residential or commercial construction process;Proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD or related software.
Detail-oriented and very organizedQualificationsExperience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systemsStrong working knowledge of residential framing, roofing, and electricalKnowledge of National Electrical Code and local building codesExperience with AutoCAD and Smartsheets preferred but not requiredTime zone and working hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10 pm CST.
