OVID Inspector (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database)

OverviewWe are seeking qualified OVID Inspectors to conduct vessel inspections for offshore support vessels (OSVs) in line with OCIMF OVID requirements for marine assurance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform OVID inspections covering safety, engineering, navigation, DP systems, emergency preparedness, and crew competence.Review vessel documentation (certs, manuals, SMS, drills, DP/FMEA, maintenance logs).Conduct interviews with vessel crew and assess operational safety practices.Prepare OVID reports, findings, and closure recommendations for upload to OCIMF.Coordinate with vessel owners, charterers, and client marine assurance teams.Support follow-up inspections when required.RequirementsValid OVID Inspector accreditation (mandatory).10+ years marine or offshore vessel experience (Master/Chief Engineer preferred).Strong understanding of OCIMF requirements, ISM Code, IMCA guidelines, DP operations, and offshore vessel technical systems.Competent in report writing and digital submission via OVID platform.
