Pacific International is partnering with a global industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation to appoint a Continuous Improvement Project Lead within a high-impact strategic cost optimisation programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a globally connected transformation team focused on enhancing operational performance and cost efficiency across the organisation’s EMEA manufacturing footprint. The position is a critical enabler in driving targeted improvements across key areas such as logistics, packaging, MRO, energy, and utilities, delivering measurable cost savings while building long-term capability within factory teams.
With a hands-on, delivery-focused remit, the successful candidate will work closely with factory leadership teams to identify, execute, and sustain operational improvements through the application of lean and continuous improvement methodologies. The role requires significant travel across EMEA manufacturing sites (approximately 70%), making it ideally suited for individuals who thrive on the shop floor, enjoy solving operational challenges directly with teams, and are passionate about enabling scalable, sustainable change. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coach cross-functional site teams to identify and execute initiatives targeting Other Factory Cost reductions across logistics, packaging, energy, MRO, and related areas.
Scope and drive improvement projects from idea generation through to implementation and savings realisation, working closely with factory leadership and regional stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and deliver structured training to enable local teams to adopt continuous improvement methodologies independently. Create and implement business cases, Tactical Implementation Plans, and performance tracking systems to manage execution and ensure delivery against targets. Act as a trusted partner to manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance. Contribute to the development and global sharing of best practices as part of a broader continuous improvement network. Background & Skills:
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, or continuous improvement within complex industrial environments. Demonstrated success in leading cost-saving and operational optimisation projects, with a strong focus on logistics, packaging, energy, MRO, or similar. Deep understanding of lean and continuous improvement methodologies (e. g. Lean, Six Sigma), with strong project and change management capability. Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration across factory and functional teams, with a proven ability to build trust and drive alignment. Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset.
Confident communicator and facilitator, with experience in training and capability-building initiatives (Train-the-Trainer expertise is an advantage). High cultural intelligence and adaptability; capable of working effectively across different countries and cultures. Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region (up to 70%).
