Schedule/HoursJob Description2nd Shift: Monday- Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Occasional Saturdays may be required.Basic PurposeTo ensure specification product is packaged in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner. To supervise the packers, operate the packing machine, and pack products according to schedule and specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Conduct pre-start safety and sanitation inspections per instructions and record results   Set up and start various conveyor belts and machinery   Select and properly thread packaging film into vertical form and fill machine   Assure that packaging machine is at proper settings and speeds and document    Assure that product weigh scales are in proper order and document    Assure proper code dates are on the package and document   Make mechanical adjustments to the machine to obtain proper parameters   Conduct various quality control checks per instruction and document    Identify and isolate out of specification finished goods   Write work orders for broken or unacceptable conditions   Keep work area neat and clean and perform preliminary clean-up of equipment at shutdown   Supervise packers and help to assign their duties   Train packers on packing policies, specifications, and procedures   Follow GMP's, Food Safety Policies, and Procedure Other miscellaneous (helping the team, assisting where is needed) QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Minimum six months experience in a Production capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment  Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: High School Diploma or GED  Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral instructions  Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements  Ability to use basic tools and make simple mechanical adjustments  Willingness to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment  Willingness to work independently with minimum instructions  Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed  Ability to read and speak basic English  Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Procedures  Maintain records and communicate and correct out of control conditions  Read and understand basic flow charts  Wear all required protective equipment  Obey all food and human safety rules and regulations  Comply with all company policies and regulations   Physical Demands:  Sitting 5%   Walking 35%   Standing 60%   Stooping and bending   Fingering-computer keyboard   Hearing-ordinary conversation   Work Environment: Exposure to fluorescent lights   Climbing stairs and ladders   Extreme climate or climate variation   Lifting and carrying up to 70lbs  Heat up to 100 degrees and lows of 40 degrees   Rotating and oscillating equipment   Changes of >30 degrees within a shift   Near acuity (clarity of vision at 20 inches or less)   Humidity   Speaking-ordinary speech   Conveyors, elevators, and lifts   Compressed Air and Live steam linesCompensation And BenefitsNew starting wage is $21.25 / hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on shift schedule.Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision CoverageFlexible spending accountsDisability coverageLife insuranceCritical illness and accident insuranceLegal and identity protection insurancePet insuranceEmployee assistance programCommuter benefitsTuition assistanceAdoption assistance401(k)PTOParental LeaveMaven Family PlanningHain Celestial is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer.
