Assists other operators by loading WIP into manufacturing machines, unloading, and packing finished product, making boxes, and loading skids.Essential Job FunctionsCatch product after the printing, affixing, or shrink wrap processesVerify sequence numbers are correctAssemble empty boxes as neededVerify box count and package product per job ticketAssist Operators in locating productUnderstand and follow Quality Control requirements for each jobEnsure product data integrityMaintains clean and orderly workspaceFollows product flow instructionsPerforms other job duties as assigned Performs other job duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be able to learn quickly and adapt to changeAble to work well in a team environmentDemonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, and operating policies and proceduresAbility to communicate effectively with others.be able to maintain good attendanceMust be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periodsMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.Safe Work RequirementsPPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs or Earmuffs, Safety Shoes, Gloves when required, Hard Hats, and any other PPE Required based on the job or task.Compliance with Smurfit Westrock's employment policies, handbook, and workplace safety policies, rules, and procedures.Submission of Safety Concerns and Safety Work Order / Incident Reporting and Learning / Basic understanding of the SafetyExcellence SystemFollow the site management (General Manager, Plant Manager, Department Manager, Shift Supervisor) assignments for completing tasks and managing programs as part of the Safety Excellence System.Must follow Training Matix assigned in the Learning and Development System.
