He/she works within the PAD team, interacting with other site functions (Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing,..) to commercialize new products to support business growth strategy.Responsibilities And Accountabilities Drive and lead all technical activities related to the development of new products or improvements of existing products. Develop formulations at lab scale, supporting introduction of any new required raw material. Verify performance and design robustness to generate datasheet and specifications. Issue recommendation for processing conditions and support scale up in Manufacturing to ensure hand-over to production. Ensure development quality and effectiveness through an efficient coordination of lab activities with PAD technicians. Manage collaboration with other functions (Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing) to maximize the quality and the speed of development. Maintain all systems and documentation required for effective operations: SAP, MSDS, TDS. Prepare and deliver technical presentations at internal meetings or at customers Support on technical advice and training to internal ( Sales, technicians, etc.) and external customers on product recommendations, processing, and application of new or existing products. Provide guidance to procurement in respect to supplier selection and alternate sources of key raw materials. . Ensure safe handling and use of raw materials in development and manufacturing. PERSON SPECIFICATION(Typical Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience Required For The Job.).EducationCandidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Professional Degree or equivalentWork ExperienceThe position requires at least 3 years of experience in the compounding plastics industry. Polymer formulation knowledge is mandatory. Polymer processing and testing knowhow is a plus.
