Job Description

We are hiring a Paralegal for one of our clients in Hamilton, NJ.Job DescriptionThe Property and Real Estate Paralegal supports attorneys and caseworkers in the management of real property and related legal matters for clients under guardianship. This position involves conducting title and property research, assisting with transactions, preparing court filings, and coordinating with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and court orders. The ideal candidate will have experience with property or real estate matters and familiarity with guardianship and Surrogate's Court procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with the management, sale, and maintenance of real property assets owned by wards under guardianship.Prepare, review, and file legal documents in Surrogate's Court and Supreme Court, including petitions, accountings, deeds, and other property-related filings.Conduct legal research on property, title, and guardianship matters.Coordinate with real estate professionals, title companies, and court personnel to facilitate transactions and ensure compliance with guardianship orders.Maintain detailed case files and property records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Track deadlines, hearing dates, and other critical case milestones.Assist with the preparation of accountings and reports required by the court.Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff within the Guardianship Unit as needed.Skills RequiredPreferred Knowledge: Familiarity with guardianship proceedings and Surrogate's Court practice.Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.Education RequiredAssociate or bachelor's degree in legal studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.Experience RequiredMinimum 2 5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on property or real estate law.Work HoursMonday through Friday-8:30 am to 5:00 pmlunch: Half hour unpaid.About UsWe are specialized in recruiting and deliver the best professional talent of industry and we are committed to deliver best experience for our clients and job seekers.
