This exciting role will see you work under the supervision and guidance of our Partners. You will be enthusiastic and pragmatic in your approach, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with clients directly. You will have a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills.A commitment to investing in our key practice areas, learning the work that we do and executing on getting that work done is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate. However, experience in commercial litigation or construction law background will be highly regarded.Appointment to this position will be made on an ongoing full-time basis. Part time applications, at a minimum of 4 days per week, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.Key DutiesIn this paralegal role, your day-to-day duties may include:• Drafting general correspondence (e.g. letter of Advice, briefing letter to barristers);• Drafting briefs and Court documents (e.g. Briefs, Cost Assessment applications, Short Minutes of Order, Affidavits of Service, Court Bundles);• Liaising with clients;• Preparing Cost Schedules;• Legal research tasks;• Reviewing and/or creating case summaries and articles; and• Other adhoc tasks as required.Skills and Experience• Penultimate or final year University student completing Bachelor of Laws or equivalent;• Minimum two years previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal;• Excellent attention to detail together with strong verbal and written communication skills;• Well-developed time management skills;• A willingness to learn, positive approach and strong initiative;• Intermediate to advanced skills in the MS Office suite;• Experience with Affinity would be highly regarded.This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm with a supportive culture.Our Benefits• Financial benefits: competitive remuneration package (based on your level of experience), generous bonus scheme, and employee referral rewards.• Flexibility: Hybrid and flexible working arrangements to balance your work and lifestyle.• Learning & development opportunities: Practical Skills training and CPD program for Paralegals and Lawyers.• Health & wellbeing programs: Employee Assistance Program including confidential counselling for you and your immediate family, flu vaccinations and skin checks, and massages.How to applyWe'd love to hear from you so please click "apply now"!
