Welcome to the future of ethical physician and pharma collaboration!Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Paralegal to support our legal team in managing contracts, compliance matters, and general legal operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in equity management, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry regulations, strong contract management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.Key ResponsibilitiesContract ManagementMaintain and optimize the CLM system (Summize), including matter intake, approval flows, clause libraries, templates, redline comparison, and contract repository organization.Build and maintain contract dashboards (cycle times, volume, statuses) and generate weekly reports for Legal, Sales, and Operations.Ensure consistent metadata tagging for all agreements (client, product, channel, state, term, value, risk flags).Manage signature workflows (DocuSign) and coordinate counterparty execution.Coordinate with business teams for contract review and approval processesMaintain contract templates and standard formsCompliance SupportAssist in reviewing pharma-facing agreements for compliance with TCPA, HIPAA, PHRMA Code, DEA/Surescripts, and state "mini-TCPA" laws.Maintain internal trackers of: opt-out language, contact flows, consent records, attestation language, and state-specific advertising/solicitation rules.Support audit preparation and coordinate with external counsel for high-compliance pharma brands.Maintain version-controlled privacy, TCPA, and data governance documentation (handbook, opt-out workflows, state-level rule overlays).Track and update data retention schedules and vendor management artifacts.Coordinate with CTO and People Ops for SOC 2 readiness materials (evidence gathering, policies, access logs).Equity ManagementManage and maintain equity records, including utilizing equity management platforms such as CartaAssist with equity-related transactions and documentationCoordinate with internal teams and external advisors on equity mattersCorporate GovernanceMaintain corporate governance filings, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirementsSupport the preparation and maintenance of board materials and corporate recordsCoordinate with outside counsel and stakeholders on governance mattersLegal OperationsCoordinate with outside counsel as neededManage legal department calendar and deadlinesOrganize and maintain legal files and recordsPrepare legal correspondence and documentationConduct preliminary legal research and analysisAdministrative SupportSchedule meetings and manage calendar for legal teamMaintain legal department budget tracking and expense reportsOrganize and prepare materials for meetings and presentationsHandle confidential information with discretionSupport special projects as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree or paralegal certificate3-5 years minimum of paralegal experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical industryExperience with contract management systems and legal document management (Summize)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, e-signature platforms, and SlackProficiency in legal research tools/databases (e.g. LexisNexis, WestLaw, CoCounsel) Familiarity with Carta equity management platform, including grant management and report generationExcellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilitiesStrong document formatting, editing, and overall attention to detail and accuracyExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExperience in fast-paced or startup environments, with knowledge of corporate governance and complianceSkills Desired But Not RequiredKnowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and FDA regulationsExperience with mergers and acquisitionsThe base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000.Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.BenefitsImpiricus focuses on taking care of our teammates' professional and personal growth and well-being.Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents + on-demand healthcare conciergeHSA, FSA & DCFSA: Pre-tax savings options for healthcare and dependent care, with monthly employer contributions to HSA (if enrolled in a high-deductible plan)Coverage & Protection: 100% paid short- and long-term disability, plus life and AD&D insuranceFlexible Time Off: Take the time you need with a flexible vacation policy — recharge your batteries your wayParental Leave: 12 weeks of paid leave to spend time with your newborn, adopted, or foster child (available after 6 months)Your Work, Your Way: If you're close to an office, we encourage spending some time in-person to collaborate and connect.
