Job Title: ParalegalLocation: Manchester Area - Remote (with travel as required)Salary: £27,000 – £34,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAbout The RoleWe’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal team. In this role, you’ll support colleagues across all business areas and work on a diverse range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, property and employment law. You’ll also manage consumer court claims and assist with high-value or complex litigation, ensuring cost-effective and successful outcomes under appropriate supervision.This is a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships across the organisation and contribute to a high-performing team where everyone can thrive.ResponsibilitiesAssist with a wide variety of legal work, supporting senior team members on a range of legal matters.Manage consumer court claims in-house and coordinate outsourced work (where appropriate) under appropriate supervision, including liaising with external counsel on high-value or complex litigation.Provide support on general advisory and pre-litigation matters, including debt recovery, complex offences and enforcement.Handle key legal administrative tasks such as document execution, indexing, and invoice processing.Undertake legal research and help develop templates, workflows, and best practices.Collaborate with Customer Service & Complaints teams to resolve complex issues early and reduce litigation risk.Contribute to strategic projects and commercial arrangements as needed.Collaborate with other members of the Legal team to manage workload requirements.Promote Lookers’ strategy, values and behaviors.QualificationsWhat We’re Looking ForLaw degree, SQE or GDL and LPC, or working towards the CILEX.Experience in litigation and consumer law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015) is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a positive, clear communication style.Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships quickly with colleagues and external partners.Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability to new practice areas.Self-motivated with the confidence to seek guidance when needed and cope with changing demands.Why Join Us?You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
