Barden are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative start-up to help identify an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a Part-time permanent basis (5 mornings per week, hybrid).This is a great opportunity for a finance professional looking to find a role with flexibility. This person will add value across the finance function and work closely with the Finance Manager. ABOUT THE ROLE:Assist with monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting, budget preparation, and ad hoc financial analysis.Manage the Accounts Payable function. Support annual audits, ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., VAT, Intrastat, statistical surveys), and uphold internal financial controls.Perform balance sheet reconciliations, manage intercompany balances, and oversee financial aspects of stock and goods in transit.Assist with payment runs, vendor onboarding, staff purchase orders, and general administrative tasks.Engage in process improvement initiatives, contribute to Group projects.ABOUT THE PERSON:Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational capabilities.Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.Understanding of VAT principles is desirable.
