Fordham University: Office of the Provost: LawLocationLincoln Center CampusOpen DateMay 06, 2024Salary Range or Pay Grade$2,000 to $15,000 per semester, depending on the number of credits and experienceDescriptionFordham Law School invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach a course in professional responsibility for foreign-trained LL.M. students. The expected start date is for the fall 2024 semester.ResponsibilitiesUsing a textbook, the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and the NY Rules of Professional Conduct, supplemented by pertinent cases and other materials, this course will examine the fundamental notions that govern the conduct of lawyers in relation to their clients, third parties and the courts.Provide a holistic introduction to some of the key professional responsibility aspects that a foreign law-trained lawyer should expect to consider when working in the U.S. or dealing with U.S. lawyers from abroad.Examine the fundamental notions that govern the conduct of lawyers in relation to their clients, third parties and the courts.Develop a syllabus using a textbook, the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and the NY Rules of Professional Conduct, supplemented by pertinent cases and other materials.Shape a set of learning objectives that students will have mastered by the end of the course.
