Quality and Compliance CoordinatorWe're looking for a highly organized professional to oversee documentation quality and regulatory compliance across our behavioral health and substance abuse facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring clinical teams maintain timely, accurate and compliant records within the EHR System.This is a remote position supporting a behavioral health and substance abuse facility.Job ResponsibilitiesEHR Monitoring & Documentation Oversight:Monitor counselor and clinician activity within the EHR System to ensure timely completion of notes, assessments, treatment plans and required documentation.Track compliance with USD, LOS and other internal documentation metrics.Identify missing, incomplete or late documentation and initiate follow ups immediately.Audit charts regularly to ensure accuracy, consistency and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, state and federal standards.)Compliance Follow-ups and Staff CoordinationContact counselors, nurses and staff who are out of compliance with documentation requirements.Provide clear guidance on corrections, deadlines and expectations.Escalate persistent non compliance to supervisory and clinical leadership as needed.Support new staff with onboarding guidance related to documentation standards and EHR workflowsWorkflow & Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain tracking dashboards to monitor documentation compliance in real time.Collaborate with management to optimize workflows that improve documentation efficiency and reduce errors.Report trends, risks and compliance gaps to leadership with actionable recommendations.Assists inn creating training materials and SOPs for documentation practices.Quality AssuranceEnsure all documentation meets payer, licensing and accreditation requirements.Partner with QA, clinical leads and operations teams to uphold high standards of care and data accuracy.Participate in internal audits and preparation for external audits and survey.Qualifications:Experience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment or healthcare documentation required.Familiarity with EHR platformsStrong understanding of clinical documentation standards including notes, treatment plans and regulatory guidelines.Excellent communication skills with the ability to enforce expectations professionally and confidently.Strong analytical, time management and follow through skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervisionPreferred Skills:Prior compliance, QA, utilization review or operations experience in a behavioral health setting.Knowledge of licensing requirements (HIPAA, JCAHO/ CARF, state specific regulations)Comfortable with high-volume monitoring, accountability conversations and rapid follow upsWork EnvironmentFully remote role with regular virtual collaborationRequires reliable internet, a quiet workspace, and the ability to manage multiple communication channels (email, phone, messaging platforms)
