This hands-on role focuses on daily decision-making, compliance, and operational excellence across payment systems and in multiple countries across Europe.In This Role You WillOversee daily payment processing (manual & automated) with focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.Manage exceptions, reconciliations, and vendor incident resolution.Develop and implement efficient, secure payment processes to maximize operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML).Act as the first escalation point for operational issues.Monitor payment trends and optimize performance through reporting.Drive automation, process improvements, and run vendor relationships.Stay informed on industry trends, payment technologies, and regulatory updates.What You Will Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance).5–10 years’ experience in merchant payments.Shown success in acquiring projects with card schemes.Experience running technical and operational change processes.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and financial process design (e.g., ledger logic, reconciliations, forecasting).A product mindset—able to treat payment operations as a product, working closely with engineering to build scalable, automated solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.At Bp, We Provide The Following Environment & BenefitsA company culture where we respect our diverse teams and are proud of our achievementsPossibility to join social communities and networksA healthy work-life balanceChill-out and collaboration spaces in a modern office environmentLearning and development opportunities to craft your career pathLife & health insurance, medical care packageAnd many others benefit!bp Hungary won the Most Attractive Employer 2024 Award (SSC / BSC sector) fourth time in a row at PwC's annual employer research.
