The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day.Please note that this is a remote role with occasional on-site presence required.In this role, you will be responsible for all payroll functions relating to Hourly employees, including the processing of full-cycle hourly payroll.Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Administrator will have the following responsibilities:Prepare and process the semi-monthly Hourly pay runs, and when required, prepare, and process the Salary groups pay runs full cycle accurately and on timePayroll data entry (employee earnings adjustments, allowances etc.)Process and review all time data entry for accuracy and completenessProcess employee events payments i.e., Leave of absence, vacation payouts, termination, severance, MPPI bonuses, mine rescue etc.Adhere to stringent deadlines/timelines to meet banking deadlinesResponsible for all hourly schedules including setup and maintenanceEnsure payroll requests/information are fully documented and duly authorizedCreate and distribute pay statements Process record of employmentsBalance and distribute all payroll departmental reportsReview and verify employee changes received from HR and review and verify Avanti entries/revisions to new employee and existing employee profiles/data to ensure accuracy and maintenance of the Avanti systemCalculate/process off cycle payments and manual cheque runs as requiredReconcile and process deductions of 3rd party payments, garnishments, including government remittancesAssist in year-end processing of T4s, T4As, yearend rollover, adjustments, and annual reportingEnsure compliance with government legislation, payroll best practice and company policyPrepare, verify, and remit employee pension enrollments, changes, contributions and terminationsMonitor and responsible for addressing employee payroll inquiresAddress inquiries from government agencies i.e., FRO, Service Canada, CRALiaison with departments on payroll related itemsResponsible for liaising with government agencies, company auditors, and various LSG stakeholdersProvide full backup of the Payroll Supervisor during absencesEffectively streamline processes to reduce manual input Maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in all aspects of this positionAssist in project/program testing, along with any audits as requiredOther duties/projects as assignedMore About YouWhile our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:Knowledge of relevant government regulationsExperience with salaried and hourly union and/or non-union payroll is requiredPCP or CPM designation preferred – or relevant work experience2-5 years of experience in a payroll processing roleMust have strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccuracy and detail orientatedAnalytical, problem solving and organizational skillsKnowledge of Avanti software is considered an assetOverall, you are a motivated team player and demonstrate compliance with all health and safety regulations.About The BenefitsIn return for your hard work and dedication you can expect to receive a competitive annual salary, as well as the following benefits:Profit Share (bonus)Company-paid extended medical, prescription, dental, and vision benefitsWellness Spending AccountHealth Care Spending AccountCompany-paid pension plan with 8% company contributionBasic life/accidental life insuranceLong-term disability coverageEmployee Assistance ProgramTelemedicine Virtual Primary Care via DialogueCompetitive Paid Vacation EntitlementsPaid pregnancy and parental leaveDon't miss out on this unique opportunity to take the next step toward your career goals with an industry leader - apply now!To express your interest in this position please forward your resume to:Lake Shore Gold - Human ResourcesP.O.
