BQE is hiring a Payroll Sales Specialist to help accelerate our new payroll product.For context, an in-app payroll product has been a top request from our customers for years. To meet that demand, we recently launched CORE Payroll – powered by Gusto – and received a great customer response!We’re looking for someone with a unique combination of both sales acumen and payroll expertise to help customers choose and get value from CORE Payroll. As the subject matter expert, the Payroll Sales Specialist will work with customers to understand their needs, demonstrate how our payroll solution addresses those needs, and then help customers get started. They’ll partner across marketing, sales, implementation, and success to maximize value to our customers and to BQE.While we are off to a great start and have laid the foundation for success, we will need to keep iterating and improving our approach. That’s why the right candidate for this role will be comfortable “building the engine while driving the car” and help take ownership of CORE Payroll’s success.About what you’ll do Support marketing efforts: Help define messaging, marketing campaigns, and collateral Identify CORE Payroll sales opportunities: Generate opportunities yourself and in partnership with account executives, customers success, and others Sell and onboard customers: Manage the evaluation process, gain commitments, and guide customers through to running payroll Build a fan base: Create strong advocates willing to serve as case studies or references  Upskill BQE team: Help cross-train select team members on payroll; answer questions yourself where appropriate Iterate and improve approach: Constantly identify and recommend ways to improve our process and maximize impact Make product recommendations: Work with product management to continue enhancing the CORE Payroll product Report on results: Maintain up to date records and report results to managementAbout you Payroll: 2+ years working at a payroll provider Accounting: Understanding of accounting principles and practices preferred Software: Understanding of or experience with B2B software products Sales: Experience in a sales, account management, or customer success role, with strong sales skills Technical communications: Ability to communicate complex payroll or accounting concepts simply and clearly Track record: Demonstrated history of hard work and achievement Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree is preferred About us We are an established tech company that provides software that helps architecture, engineering, and other professional services firms improve profitability by giving them a streamlined way to run their business.  We were founded in 1995, so we are nearly 30 years old. It becomes embedded into everything that they do from managing projects to tracking their time, billing and invoicing their clients, accounting for all of their financials, and yielding real-time, actionable insights into the performance and health of their projects, staff, and firms as a whole.
