This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The FollowingThe North America Payroll Tax Supervisor will lead a team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance with U.S. payroll tax regulations, including Federal, State, and Expatriate tax requirements. This role involves strategic oversight, stakeholder collaboration, and process improvement initiatives to maintain compliance and operational excellence across supported locations.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesCompliance Leadership:Oversee payroll tax administration for U.S. Federal, State, and Expatriate taxes.Ensure timely filing and payment of all payroll tax obligations.Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary process updates.Team Management:Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the Payroll Tax Team.Build a high-performing team through regular feedback and development plans.Allocate resources effectively and monitor performance against benchmarks.Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate tax reporting.Influence decision-making for payroll projects and system enhancements.Support payroll tax compliance during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes.Process & System Oversight:Oversee migration and implementation of payroll tax processes.Ensure proper configuration and troubleshooting of payroll systems (Workday, SAP, Alteryx, AssignmentPro).Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Governance & Data Management:Maintain payroll records in compliance with retention policies and data privacy standards.Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.About YouWe know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity and innovation of our people. Applications from motivated and talented individuals with a keen interest in the energy industry are encouraged.Knowledge, Skills, And ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Experience:Minimum 5 years of U.S. payroll tax experience, including multi-state and expatriate taxation.At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Technical Skills:Proficiency in payroll systems (Workday, SAP, ADP) and reporting tools.Strong understanding of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations.Soft Skills:Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and regulatory environments.Everything we do at Chevron is guided by our values and our commitment to The Chevron Way (https://www.chevron.com/about/the-chevron-way).
