You can be part of our vision!Working Pattern: Employee Fixed-Term Contract / Full-timeAs an Assistant Buyer, you will:

Participate in assisting with vendor assessments, bid reviews and contract award formalitiesAssist Buyer and Materials Controller/Expeditor in preparing bid summaries and procurement status reportsAssist team in reviewing monthly progress reports from vendors/suppliers and report on cost and schedule deviationsAssist with supplier selection and managementCommunicate with suppliers to achieve required service and meet project needCommunicate with engineers to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitionsAssist buyers with direct negotiations in the commitment of purchases, front cost negotiations, competitive bidding, market and vendor knowledgeProvide backup support to the procurement team Assist in accurately analysing and evaluate quotes from vendorsMonitor supplier inspection invitationsAttend supplier close-out meetings when required Prepare weekly and ad hoc reports as requiredParticipate in on call rotation as scheduledAssist supply chain management as requiredAssist in amendment of variations in respect of engineering changes and monitor budget and schedule as requiredMeet with vendors/suppliers if requiredAssist in planning and controlling deliveries, including returnsEnsure compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Client Specifications and Legislative Requirements and establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basisDemonstrate safe approach in working practicesThe role offers:

About YouThis is an entry-level position ideal for someone with some prior experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related administrative role. You will have:
