POSITION SPECIFICSThe Department of Family and Community Medicine Research Division at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to work with Dr. Alice Zhang on her “Vending Machines for Community Health project” and Dr. Brad Linn on his NIH R21 “Emotion Dynamics and Alcohol Use in NIAAA-defined Recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder” and Dr.

Jennifer Moss’ HPV/Cancer Prevention. The CRC will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the research projects, including: Coordinating meetings among community partners and taking meeting minutesConducting interviews with stakeholdersCleaning data obtained from the vending machineAuthor, review, and submit regulatory compliance documents and maintain communications with internal and external entities (IRB, ORA, NIH, Clinical Trials Office and HRPP), maintain relationships with governmental or regulatory agencies, research organizations, and central University officesEditing, creating and printing educational materialsDevelop recruitment and data collection plans including methods, tools, goals, and evaluation proceduresManaging outreach efforts.

Coordinate award administrative tasks; assist researchers with proposal preparation and submissionsDevelop operating procedures and workflow processes to ensure that the scope and direction of the project is on schedule; monitor project progress and deliverables; generate reports and deliver presentations to stakeholdersManage and track budgets and resources to assure efforts align with project/study guidelines; ordering of project supplies. Communication and compliance with research regulatory groups (e. g. , the IRB and the Penn State Cancer Institute Protocol Review Committee), research support groups (e. g. , CTSI services, external marketing partners), and multi-institutional research collaborators (e. g.

, Big 10 Cancer Research Consortium) about cancer-related human subjects research studiesReporting of research progress/outcomes to funding & tracking groups (e. g. , NIH annual reports, ClinicalTrials. gov, PSCI STARS)Internal monitoring and compliance with human subjects research regulations (e. g. , developing protocol documents, SOPs, and study binders, per IRB & funder requirements)High-level oversight of research study operations (e. g. , preparing REDCap instruments, tracking recruitment, overseeing data quality, managing data collectors, etc.

)Support for grant proposal submissions, including preparation of letters of support, budget justification, and human subjects protections formsTechnical input on study design, operations, budget, and data cleaningAssistance with literature review, manuscript writing, and (as needed) data collectionThe FCM campus is located in the beautiful town of Hershey.
