There’s space for you to tell us what you need within our application form.Our BenefitsAbout The RoleThe People Business Partnering Team works in conjunction with Directors, Heads of Service and senior managers to provide support and guidance on people matters within the Council.We are seeking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable HR professional to assist with the delivery of the excellent guidance and support we provide to Children’s and Adults Services on a fixed term basis.You will be an integral part of the People Services function supporting interventions and business focused solutions as well as embedding best practice and people effectiveness within the Children’s and Adults Directorate. You will also actively contribute and collaborate in the development and delivery of strategic and operational projects that explicitly be benefit Hounslow residents, as part of the wider People, Equalities and Organisational Development Team.You will be an integral part of the People Services function supporting interventions and business focused solutions as well as embedding best practice and people effectiveness within the Children’s and Adults Directorate. You will also actively contribute and collaborate in the development and delivery of strategic and operational projects that explicitly be benefit Hounslow residents, as part of the wider People, Equalities and Organisational Development Team.About The Team You’ll Be Working In You will work collaboratively with the Strategic People Lead for Children’s and Adult Services and the Senior People Business Partner to support and deliver strategic and operational support to the Children’s and Adult Services division. You will contribute to the delivery of a first class, modern and inventive people business partnering service. You will build strong relationships with Directors, Heads of Service and Senior Managers to understand their needs and influence suitable people strategies and solutions. You will contribute to the work of the wider People, Equalities and Organisational Development Team. You will work collaboratively with the Assistant Director - People Services, the Strategic People Lead for Children’s and Adult Services and the Senior People Business Partner and your colleagues to ensure that the employee journey and experience within Hounslow is the very best that it can be.About YouIf the points below resonate with you, we would love you to put in an application: You will have experience of working within local authority environment, specifically providing a consultancy approached HR service and a sound knowledge and understanding of the terms and conditions applicable to local authority employees, including social works. Have a comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and its effective application in the workplace and experience of working in a unionised environment. You will have a sound and detailed knowledge and understanding of HR best practice, employment law and organisational change as well as the ability to coach and support managers to increase management capability. You will know how to communicate effectively and be able to tailor your responses to ensure that appropriate advice is given to the varying service leads within your portfolio and be able to develop excellent relationships with stakeholders in a variety of contexts. An ability to support colleagues in the wider HR Team to achieve business goals and objectives. An ability to conduct detailed research and analysis in order to support Management Information requirements. You will be to work independently with minimal supervision whilst being aware of when it is appropriate to consult with the colleagues. You must be CIPD qualified or have substantial demonstrable work experience that evidences an equivalent level of attainment and competence.
