Job briefAt Brainsuite, a fast-growing team of over 40 passionate and talented individuals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced People & Culture Manager (m/f/d) for a part-time role of at least 20 hours per week. In this role, you will take ownership of daily people operations and foster a people-first experience across the organization. You will also oversee the entire employee journey, ensuring every team member feels supported, engaged, and empowered. Additionally, you will streamline processes to make them efficient and employee-friendly, while cultivating a positive, collaborative culture that scales with our growing team.If you are passionate about people and culture and want to make a meaningful impact, join us!In this role you will:Act as the first point of contact for our employees and department heads on all People & Culture-related topics.Manage the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.Create, update, and manage employment contracts, amendments, reference letters, and other HR-related documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in our HRIS, Personio.Partner closely with Finance and our external tax office to ensure timely payroll preparation and full compliance with German labor, social security, and data protection regulations.Create and maintain job descriptions, publish job postings, and oversee candidate pre-screening and interview coordination.Advise and support our department heads on performance management, people development, and further people-related topics.Drive continuous improvement of our people processes, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as we grow.About you:You have 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in People Operations, covering recruitment, people performance management, employee engagement, compensation, development, and employee relations.You bring proven experience in fast-paced, tech-driven environments such as start-ups or scale-ups.You have in-depth knowledge of German labor and employment law (Arbeitsrecht) and a strong understanding of HR compliance, payroll processes, and HRIS systems (ideally Personio).You combine a hands-on approach with sharp attention to detail, thriving in dynamic environments while balancing multiple priorities with a self-driven “can-do” mindset.You are empathetic and people-focused, someone employees turn to for trusted guidance, practical support, and reliable advice.You are fluent in German and English (C1 level), both written and spoken.What we consider a plus:Hands-on experience with Personio Experience using or integrating AI tools to streamline HR or operational processesBased near Hamburg or Frankfurt, with the flexibility to join the team in the office occasionally.What's in it for you?An international team striving for greatness: At our company, you will meet people from all over the world who embrace and value diversity.
