The English-Speaking Examiner is responsible for conducting Online exams and assessing candidatesā performance for the LanguageCert qualification suite, in accordance with stringent assessment criteria and processes.
As an English-Speaking Examiner, if you are based in Athens you'll work from our centrally located offices, right next to the Panepistimio metro station, or fully remote if you are located outside of Athens The Online Test Center operates 24/7/365. As an English-Speaking Examiner, your tasks will include the following:
Conduct online spoken interviews according to the Interlocutor Framework and LanguageCert regulationsManage the interaction in the exam and facilitates the candidateās performance, ensuring a positive candidate experienceEnsure standardization and consistency of interlocutionAssess the candidateās performance fairly and consistently and in accordance with LanguageCertās stringent assessment criteria and processesPerform the required procedures to authenticate the candidateās identity and safeguard exam integrity in accordance with PeopleCertās standards, regulations and processesImplement troubleshooting protocols for technical support.
Ensure efficient operation of ICT systems and applicationsAttend LanguageCertās trainings and standardization sessions as requiredRespond positively to guidance and advice and implement improvements where neededObserve the need for confidentiality of examination material and security at all timesProvide feedback on assessment material, as requiredCarry out any reasonably allocated duties and tasks, relevant to the role and the scope of activities by applying a flexible & adaptable customer centric approach to serve PeopleCertās multinational presence and global operations across multiple time zonesOffer the services set out above within the specified times and in accordance with LanguageCertās proceduresExecute a range of reasonable additional tasks and involve in activities as assigned by their supervisorEnsure work and presence is consistently aligned with organization's values āQuality - Passion - Integrity - InnovationāWhat we look for:
Bachelorās degree in English Language or similar field, or any undergraduate degree with TEFL/TESOL qualification (Level 5 and above) from a recognized institution.
Post graduate, Research degree and/ or Teaching Qualifications will be taken into consideration towards the completion of the above minimum requirementPostgraduate, Research degree and/or Teaching Qualifications will be taken into consideration towards the completion of the above minimum requirementMinimum 4 yearsā full-time TEFL teaching experience (Freelance and volunteer teaching is not included) and demonstrable experience in English language assessment examining with awarding bodiesFull familiarity with the levels of the Common European Framework (CEFR) and working knowledge on itA very good level of IT literacy, familiarity with online communication platforms (i. e.
Teams)Exceptional command of the English language (C2/ native-like). Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared. If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
