Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive assistant with personal injury experience to join our team. This role supports the legal team in setting up new personal injury cases, ensuring timely and accurate communication, and maintaining up-to-date records within our legal software system.Job HighlightsHourly Rate: The equivalent of $5.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currencySchedule: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM with a 30-min Paid BreakWork Arrangement: Work from homeContract: Independent ContractorSide Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.ResponsibilitiesCase ManagementAssist with onboarding and setting up new personal injury casesManage a designated caseload of PI pre-litigation casesInput, update, and maintain case information within the legal case management softwareClient Communication & SupportCommunicate professionally and promptly with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholdersProvide clients with case updates, explain medical treatment options, and guide them through the claims processAssist clients in navigating medical providers, scheduling appointments, and understanding proceduresMedical & Treatment OversightReview and analyze medical records to determine case value and appropriate treatmentManage and coordinate clients’ medical care, including surgery, injections, infusions, and other treatmentsDocumentation & ReportingOrganize, manage, and track case documents and recordsDraft and send initial correspondence to clients, insurance companies, and medical providersPrepare complete and accurate files for submission to the demands departmentAdministrative SupportSupport attorneys and case managers with administrative and case-related tasks as neededEnsure all sensitive information is handled with discretion and professionalismRequirementsExperienced working with a U.S.-based personal injury companyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismIndependent Contractor PerksHMO Coverage for eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringSteady freelance jobReminderApply directly to the link provided; you will be redirected to BruntWork’s Career Site.
