We're looking for someone to join our amazing Fundraising and Communications team! About the role | Mō te tūnga   We are seeking a full-time Philanthropy Specialist to join our team.  This brand-new position will play a key role in growing philanthropic support that strengthens Manaaki Tāngata | Victim Support’s long-term impact across Aotearoa. This role is based in Wellington, and the core responsibilities include:  Identify and grow philanthropic opportunities that strengthen long-term organisational sustainability. Develop a Gifts in Wills programme, supported by clear stewardship strategies.  Build genuine relationships with supporters and create meaningful ways for them to engage. Establish a Major Gifts programme by creating compelling proposals and nurturing emerging prospects. About you | Mōu  To be a member of our dedicated team, we are looking for the following:  3-5 years in a similar role Skilled at building and managing relationships with donors Confident communicator, both verbal and written Comfortable working with data and drawing meaningful insights A proactive, people-focused team player Empathy and understanding of the impact of crime and traumatic events on victims  Benefits  Great team culture in an organisation that has a wellbeing first approach  One gifted leave day a year, called Manaaki Tāngata day  A variety of learning and development opportunities across the organisation   Our Kaupapa   At Manaaki Tāngata | Victim Support, our mission is clear: to strengthen the mana and wellbeing of individuals affected by crime and traumatic events across Aotearoa.
