We focus on delivering high-quality engineering talent across Web, Mobile, Cloud, AI/ML, and DevOps with a strong presence in the US and global markets.We’re looking for an experienced PHP Software Engineer to join a team maintaining and evolving a business-critical payment platform within a global trading company.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve a PHP-based payment platformRefactor and optimise existing codebaseWork with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), optimise queries and indexingSupport integration of external payment providersContribute to system reliability and performance in productionRequirements3+ years of professional PHP experienceStrong hands-on experience with Laravel or Symfony in productionStrong SQL skills (query optimization, indexing, performance tuning)Experience working on medium-to-high complexity systemsPossess good level of spoken and written English: can communicate technical topics effectivelyBeneficially has knowledge of AWS, microservices, React, TypeScript, GoConditionsFully remote role with a flexible schedule which is overlaps with Australian TimezoneCompensation in USD via a convenient payment methodDirect collaboration with founders and fast decision-makingHigh level of ownership and real impact on process development
