Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityThis position is being offered for a fixed period of 12 months. However, the role may be offered as a secondment, subject to the appointment of a suitable internal candidate and approval from their current line manager. A secondment provides a valuable opportunity for internal staff to broaden their experience, develop new skills, and gain insight into another area of the university while continuing their employment with AUT.Nga haepapa matua | Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will be responsible for placement administration for Initial Teacher Education (ITE) students across a variety of programmes which are taught at AUT’s North, City and South campuses.Your focus will be on securing practicum placements throughout Auckland and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for all placement administration across several ITE programmes. You will work closely with the other practicum and student administrators in the School, with students on practicum matters, and with academic staff responsible for teaching and evaluative visits. You will work closely with all stakeholders, building and fostering positive working relationships through telephone, electronic communications and visiting schools as required.He kōrero mōu | About youWe're looking for a genuine team player with flexibility and attention to detail and someone who is comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritising deadlines.
