Apply today.TITLE: Planner/ Cost Analyst/ SchedulerREPORTS TO: Planning/ Scheduling ManagerSummaryResponsible for the creation of project planning, scheduling and document coordination used for monitoring and reporting work force productivity and progress for all assigned projects. The Planner / Scheduler is responsible for reporting project progress and performance status to assist in the direct management and business operations of the Company. Works closely with the Project Team and Business Unit Leader (BUL) for the development of the project plan, budgets and performance.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor project budgets and job costing for all prime contractors and subcontractors, and prepare associated reportsAnalyze, create and submit weekly Project Status Reports and line item budget updates for project reviewsMeet with Superintendents on a bi-weekly basis to update progress and ETC runoutsAnalyze Equipment matrix to ensure runouts are accurateInterpret financial impact and contract value via financial log submittals from productionAssist in manning curve analysis based on fields input of work planCreate and maintain various request-specific one-off reports depending on work that is deemed high priority at the timeAbility to quickly and accurately perform variance-to-plan root cause analysis based on information provided from reportsCreate job overviews based on work package and bid informationCreate Schedules with production and Project ManagersCreate budget builders/initial manning curve based on scheduleCreate weighted progress template with production inputResearch job-specific charging issues to assist upper management with analysis of potential problemsInput information into scheduling software, excel spreadsheets and appropriate computer programsGather and copy technical and reference material to support production for accomplishment of work itemsAssist Project Team in resolving conflicts by collecting and analyzing information, determining differences between base line contract work, change order work and growth workSchedule, monitor and review production progress to include materials and equipment to support production schedulesAid in preparing daily/weekly-planning/scheduling reports for all activities including but limited to daily plan of the days, items in planning, items in government review, items in negotiations, and items waiting authorizationSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNo formal supervisor responsibilities.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesKnowledge of resource loading, critical path method, network logic, milestone relationships and base-lining network schedulesBasic understanding and knowledge of legal contractsProficient with MicroSoft Office Suite of products and software applications such as Earned Value Management System (EMVS)Ability to do simple mathAbility to carry out written and verbal instructionsAbility to problem solve, organize and prioritize workEducation And ExperienceAssociate's degree or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum five (5) or more years in a shipyard production environment preferably in preservation/structural trades.WORKING CONDITIONSWork is conducted indoors in an office environmentMust be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk; must be able to view computer screen for prolonged periods of time; must be able to enter date using keyboard accurately and efficientlyMust be able to communicate effectively via phone or email with personnel at remote job sitesMay be required to climb stairsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screenEQUIPMENT USEDComputer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, adding machine, scannerREASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONSMay be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functionsAbout the Organization IMIA,LLC is the only national marine surface preparation painting contractor servicing every U.S. Port with a mobile full time workforce that ensures that a quality product is delivered on time every time.
