Job Description

The Planning & Reporting Lead is responsible for establishing and managing the organization’s enterprise planning, performance management, and reporting framework. The role ensures that strategic objectives are translated into actionable plans, tracked through measurable KPIs, and communicated through clear executive reporting.This role acts as the central coordination point between leadership, PMO, finance, and business units to ensure alignment, visibility, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic & Operational PlanningLead the annual, quarterly, and rolling planning cycles.Translate strategic objectives into operational plans, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.Ensure alignment between strategy, budgets, portfolios, and initiatives.Develop and maintain planning templates, standards, and governance.Support prioritization of initiatives based on value, risk, and capacity.Performance ManagementDesign and manage the organization’s KPI framework.Define performance baselines, targets, and measurement methodologies.Track progress of strategic initiatives and portfolio performance.Identify risks, delays, and performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.Executive Reporting & InsightsDevelop executive dashboards and performance scorecards.Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for leadership.Provide data-driven insights and recommendations.Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise reporting.Governance & CoordinationFacilitate cross-functional planning workshops and performance reviews.Coordinate reporting inputs from departments and project teams.Establish reporting calendars and communication cadence.Support governance forums, steering committees, and audits.Continuous Improvement & Data MaturityImprove planning and reporting processes and tools.Automate reporting and enhance data integration.Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.SKILLS & ABILITIESCore CompetenciesStrategic planning and business performance managementKPIs framework development and trackingPortfolio and program reportingData analysis and visualizationGovernance and cross-functional coordinationLeadership & Behavioral SkillsStrong analytical and structured thinkingExcellent communication and storytelling skillsStakeholder engagement and facilitationHigh attention to detail and organizationAbility to simplify complex data into clear insightsPOTENTIAL BACKGROUNDEducation:Bachelor’s in business administration, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field.MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.Experience:8–12+ years total experience3–5+ years in planning, PMO, strategy, or performance rolesExperience in corporate planning, transformation, or PMO environments.Preferred Certifications:PMP / PRINCE2Lean Six Sigma (advantage)Preferred ToolsPower BI / TableauAdvanced Excel & financial modelingMS Project / SmartsheetJira / Azure DevOpsSharePoint / ConfluenceSoft SkillsData storytelling and executive presentationStakeholder influence and facilitationContinuous improvement mindsetStrong planning and prioritization abilityCollaboration across multiple departments
