This site specializes in the production of adhesives for the automotive industry and functions as a distribution center for various South American markets, integrated within the Adhesives & Fluids Business unit of DuPont. The Pindamonhangaba facility plays a crucial role in providing essential materials for advanced mobility applications, particularly in the manufacturing of automotive fixed glass and structural adhesives for the assembly of car and bus metal bodies.The Plant Leader will exemplify DuPont’s core values and demonstrate authentic leadership in daily interactions with the workforce. This role oversees a highly skilled team of approximately 24 employees while representing DuPont to local authorities and the surrounding community.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Development: Foster a collaborative environment by promoting effective communication, team engagement, conflict resolution, performance management, staffing, and employee recognition. Ensure a high morale within the team.Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with Marketing and Research & Development teams to align production capabilities with customer requirements, translating needs into the development and supply of new or enhanced product offerings.Regulatory Compliance: Act as the management delegate for the entity, ensuring adherence to environmental, health, safety, and security regulations, standards, and best practices. Represent the organization in all local environmental commitments.Strategic Representation: Interface with business and country leadership to contribute to strategy development and goal-setting processes concerning operational effectiveness and customer-centric approaches.Conditional Oversight: Ensure the adequacy of service conditions and capabilities of utility providers. Manage local service contracts and ensure that infrastructure is appropriately maintained.Goal Alignment: Translate business objectives into actionable strategies for the team, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics. Challenge teams to set, monitor, and achieve goals aligned with broader business and site strategies.Coaching and Mentorship: Provide guidance to team members concerning safety, environmental health, product quality, reliability, productivity, and financial performance.Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Employ LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to implement continuous improvement projects and promote a culture of focused improvement among employees.Effective Communication: Ensure consistent information flow throughout the organization, especially during critical situations, incident reporting, and operational updates.Employee Development: Facilitate employee growth through coaching, mentoring, and policy-setting, thereby creating an environment conducive to continuous improvement and employee empowerment. Oversee succession planning efforts.Budget Management: Develop and manage annual and long-term operational budgets, ensuring plant operations remain within financial parameters while conducting monthly analyses to monitor budget compliance and functional guidelines.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Production, or Materials EngineeringA minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.Demonstrated experience in labor relations and managing union negotiations in collaboration with local Human Resources.Fluency in both English and Portuguese.A proven track record of exemplary performance in Environmental Health & Safety.Experience in Change Management, Operational Excellence (OpEx), and Organizational Design.Preferred certifications in LEAN Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (such as ISO/IATF) and leading quality improvement initiatives.Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
