Plant ManagerProduction ManagerII. Key Responsibilities1. Production ManagementOversee all day-to-day production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, design requirements, industrial engineering norms, cost targets, and delivery schedules.Participate in developing and implementing the annual budget and operational plans to optimize efficiency, quality, safety, and service.Develop and execute plans for effective utilization of materials, labor, and equipment to achieve production targets.Monitor and analyze production costs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures.Implement lean manufacturing practices and foster a continuous improvement culture.Optimize resource allocation and introduce productivity enhancements to achieve cost-effective operations.Review and align production and shipping schedules with customer requirements.2. Operational EfficiencyOversee material consumption and production planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and control of consumables.Identify production bottlenecks and operational risks; develop and execute strategies to address them.Coordinate with Sales and Product Management Departments to align production priorities with business needs.Revise and re-prioritize production plans as necessary to meet customer demands and organizational goals.Ensure compliance with customer requirements, statutory, and regulatory obligations.Define work procedures, schedules, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.3. Process Improvement & Quality ManagementMaintain process compliance with ISO 9000 and other applicable quality management systems.Monitor quality performance metrics and implement initiatives to reduce the cost of poor quality.Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct process analysis to optimize cycle times, reduce costs, and enhance material utilization.Guide process improvement teams in identifying, mapping, and enhancing key operational processes.Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices; recommend innovations to enhance efficiency and productivity.Establish and track process performance indicators and metrics.Promote defect prevention through lean tools and techniques such as Kaizen and 5S.4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) ManagementActively promote and participate in safety initiatives, inspections, and housekeeping programs.Ensure that all plant operations comply with occupational health and safety regulations and relevant labor laws.Encourage proactive engagement in safety awareness and risk prevention among all employees.III. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Additional certifications such as MRPII, Planning, or an MBA are preferred.Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and AutoCAD.Strong command of English, both written and spoken.Experience:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role within a fabrication or Mechanical manufacturing environment.Proven expertise in operations planning, cost optimization, and production management.Strong understanding of international standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, and API Leadership & Personal Attributes:Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and reliability.Highly motivated, results-oriented, and collaborative.Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
