With the target of 50 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030, AGEL is driving India on its renewable energy journey.Job Purpose: Plant Security Head is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, assets, and operations within the plant environment. This role entails the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies that safeguard company resources while promoting a culture of safety and compliance. The Plant Security Head oversees all security operations, including risk assessment, incident response, and the maintenance of safety protocols, ensuring that all security measures align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesAsset Protection and Loss Reduction:Ensure the implementation of effective security measures to protect assets and minimize losses across plant operations.Foster a culture of safety and security by conducting regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and address them promptly.Collaborate with the Head Office team to build security capabilities and enhance operational efficiency.Safeguard company assets through strict monitoring of unsafe acts and conditions, implementing proactive measures to avert and reduce incidents.Strengthening Security SetupOversee the establishment and maintenance of robust security protocols and systems at the plant.Implement and monitor adherence to approved budgets for manpower deployment, ensuring resource optimization.Ensure no additional security manpower deployment at existing O&M sites after completion of physical security measures.Develop security parameters and implement them at the site in consultation with Cluster Security Head.Crisis Management And Safety InitiativesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive crisis management plan, ensuring readiness for potential security incidents.Ensure 100% Security compliance at the main gate of all sites, conducting regular training sessions and mock drills to prepare personnel for emergency situations.Ensure no accidents or incidents occur at the site while adhering to Security requirements.Financial Performance ManagementStrive for a 5% reduction in security operational expenditure through effective resource management and proactive risk mitigation strategies.Monitor vendor performance, ensuring timely submission of invoices and payments while adhering to approved budgets.Ensure retention of key talent among operational management personnel (OMPs) while providing additional responsibilities.Training And Capability BuildingEnsure all OMPs receive an average of three days of training annually to enhance their security awareness and response capabilities.(Training Calender of OMPs share to VSH Office)Conduct security awareness sessions & Briefings to improve the effectiveness of newly joined OMPs and monitor their efficiency.Implement a minimum of one technology initiative at the sites (Budgetory support from Business) to enhance security measures.Performance Monitoring And ReportingMaintain oversight of security operations, ensuring 100% compliance with established Security and operational protocols.Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.Regularly liaise with police and civil authorities for smooth functioning of Site and ensure compliance with audit points.I&V DevelopmentDrive a performance driven culture by implementing effective I&V mechanism for reduction of theft cases.Strategic Planning And ImplementationCreate a long-term strategy for security, focusing on technology initiatives, analytics, and business processes.Ensure continuous optimization drives at sites to balance operational efficiency and loss reduction, targeting a 5% optimization of OPEX in FY.Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of automation projects and the development of basic security infrastructure at sites.Key Stakeholders - InternalChief Security Officer (CSO)Plant ManagerOperations TeamHuman Resources TeamIT Security TeamKey Stakeholders - ExternalLocal Law Enforcement AgenciesSecurity Service ProvidersRegulatory AuthoritiesEmergency Services (Fire Department, Medical Services)Community Leaders and Local Government OfficialsQualificationsEducational Qualification:► Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other relevant field► Postgraduate degree in relevant field► Preferable to have Certifications including Certified Protection Professional (CPP) / Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) / Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) certification/ Physical Security Professional (PSP) / Industrial Security professional certifications/ Project Management Professional (PMP) (Value Addition)Work ExperienceMore than 10 years of experience in the field of Security and at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a similar position for large-sized organization, and directly report to Site Head.► Rich experience leading Security operations of Access Control, Traffic Management, De-risking, Infra-structure and people protection, Fraud and misconduct investigation, Security technology solution, Security threat, Risk Assessment, Surveillance, and systems management for large sized site/ plant/ work-unit, preferably spanning multiple geographies► Exposure to varied Security risk management verticals and seasoned understanding of crisis management and physical asset protection across varied businesses and geographies► Experience managing operational and capital expenditure budgets with exceptional planning and project management skills► Up to date knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance issues across varied Security sub-domains► Robust understanding of investigation techniques and audit proceduresMust-have Experiences (Medium/Minor Site)► More than 8 years of experience in the field of Security and at least 5 years of experience in a team leading role in a similar position for mid-sized organization and directly report to Site Head.► Rich experience leading Security operations of Access Control, Traffic Management, De-risking, Infra-structure and people protection, Fraud and misconduct investigation, Security technology solution, Security threat, Risk Assessment, Surveillance and systems management for medium sized site/ plant/ work-unit► Exposure to Security risk management verticals and seasoned understanding of crisis management and physical asset protection► Experience managing operational budgets with exceptional planning and project management skills► Up to date knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance issues► Robust understanding of investigation techniques and audit proceduresPreferred Experiences► Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously► Preferable to have military experience► Rich experience interfacing with all levels of management; Experience of managing complex stakeholder interactions and leading discussions with top management► Experience in implementation of latest technology tools, systems, and applications in Security operations► Experience in project management in implementation of security automation and infrastructure
