Please See Additional Program Eligibility Information Below.The Yukon public service has a unique opportunity for recent graduates who have a post-secondary diploma or degree but lack real-world work experience. With GradCorps, you can kick-start your career while putting your passion, ideas and energy to work with the Yukon public service.Reporting to the Director of Policy and Communications, this position implements the Yukon Liquor Corporation’s policy and communications objectives through research, legislative assembly and media monitoring, drafting policy and communications materials, and supporting social responsibility initiatives. We are looking for someone who is a strong writer and a strategic thinker, with a passion for supporting the wellbeing and economic prosperity of Yukoners.This position will work for a one-year Term from approximately April 2026 to March 2027. Degree in Social Science, Public Administration, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Experience working with stakeholders on a project in a work or school setting is an asset. Experience writing in a work setting is an asset. Desired Knowledge, Skills And SuitabilityCandidates should have and may be assessed on: Ability to draft communications materials using clear language Ability to analyze and summarize research, think critically, and make recommendations Strong organizational and planning skills Computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft office suite Ability to work independently when assigned a project or task Ability to collaborate with team members and external parties on a project Analytical skills, including identifying, articulating and analyzing issues Additional InformationNOTE: To qualify for the GradCorps program, you must: be a resident of Yukon or a person of Yukon First Nations ancestry* have graduated with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution within the past two years (2024, 2025 or 2026 grads – all requirements for graduation must be complete before internship start date) have little or no work experience in your field of studyIf you are a resident of Yukon who completed your studies outside of the territory, you may apply up to two years after graduation.Eligibility List12 months
