Job ResponsibilityDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with Malaysian regulations and industry best practices. Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks. Plan, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs for all employees, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and safe work practices. Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions or behaviors, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident investigations, and other relevant documentation. Stay up-to-date on changes to health and safety regulations and industry standards, and ensure the company's programs and policies are updated accordingly. Liaise with regulatory authorities, such as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), to ensure compliance and address any concerns. Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization by actively engaging with employees and encouraging their participation in safety initiatives.
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in health and safety management within a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures to mitigate workplace hazards. Thorough knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health regulations and compliance standards. Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs to employees at all levels. Ability to conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
