Therefore, Port Analysis is the cornerstone of our Core Product.As a member of the Port Analysis team, you will take on some of our biggest challenges and your work will impact the entire Harbor Lab experience. Are you excited about joining a fast-pace, data-driven start-up environment?Our Port Analysis team is growing and we are looking for a Port Analysis Trainee for a 3-month internship. Upon successful completion of the internship, candidates will be considered and interviewed for a permanent employment contract.What You Will Be DoingLiaise between Agents and Vendors worldwide to gather information about port infrastructure, port expenses, and tariff regulationsUnderstand expenses/tariffs taxonomy per portAutomate expenses estimation by developing the right and effective algorithms using JavaScriptAudit existing expenses algorithms & keep port expenses database up to dateWork closely with Harbor Lab's Product and Disbursement Analysis teamsRequirementsWE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE Educational background in Shipping, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or other quantitative discipline/equivalent experience Interest in Shipping industry Detailed-oriented mindset & critical thinking Effective organizational skills to deliver on time and in full Strong collaboration skills to effectively cooperate with team members and external stakeholders Proficiency in ExcelSome basic exposure to SQL, Python, or another programming language is considered a plus Ability to work well with datasets and/or some experience with exploratory data analysis Excellent command of both written and spoken English (additional languages will be an asset) Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable)BenefitsWHAT WE OFFERHybrid way of work Yoga classes, Life Coach, Running Coach and Kick-Boxing Sessions Cool start-up environment (with swag, and much more) Harbor Lab is certified as Great Place to Work in Greece and is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local lawsHarbor Lab collects and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
