The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of post-production, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Post Production Manager will work closely with our localization producers, online editors, audio engineers, GFX Designers and other key stakeholders to manage the post-production process for a variety of localization and creative projects.The primary function of this role is to ensure the delivery of Post-Production services on schedule and on budget while maintaining the highest technical and creative standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of post-production workflows and the ability to manage multiple challenges simultaneously.The postproduction manager must be able to learn new technologies and automation tools and integrate them into existing workflows within the current production line. They should be comfortable with change management and skilled at helping team members adapt in a positive and supportive manner.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and overseeing the post-production process from start to finishCreating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all post-production tasksCoordinating with directors, producers, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project executionManaging the online department, maintain Online Paylocity and training, to ensure proper staffing including vacation days and sick daysWorking with senor online editors to make sure all protocols are being followed and training is scheduledLine managing several members of the teamTraining and mentoring new hires in the online editing department when necessaryBack up schedulingCollating each departments protocol guides, ensuring that they are up to date.Coordinate with Night Shift Post Production Manager to make sure both shifts for each department is handing over work on a daily basis and the pipeline is running smoothly from shift to shift.Managing post-production budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-efficiencyMaintaining regular contact with counterparts in the London office to ensure PPC is working collaboratively as one company, streamlining workflows and maximizing resource capacityIdentify areas of improvement within post-production workflows and services, sourcing solutions and implementing into the live environment where appropriateMentoring the post-production team, including editors, colorists, sound designers, and VFX artistsFostering a collaborative and creative work environmentOverseeing the day-to-day assignment of tasks in conjunction with the Post-Production scheduler.Conducting performance evaluations and provide feedback to team membersEnsuring all final outputs meet the company’s quality standardsReviewing edits, sound mixes, color grades, and visual effects to ensure consistency and accuracyImplementing quality control processes to catch and address any issues before final deliveryKeeping updated on the latest post-production software, tools, and technologiesLiaising with the Technical Operations Manager to ensure all post-production departments have the hardware, software and technical support needed to successfully delivery all post-production servicesTroubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise during the post-production processOverseeing the maintenance and upgrade of post-production equipment and software alongside the technical teamSupporting the Account Management team on client interactions regarding post-production services when requiredCommunicating project status, addressing client feedback, and ensuring client satisfactionManaging client expectations and deliverablesSKILLS & EXPERIENCE Educated to bachelor’s degree level5+ years of experience in a management position5+ years of working in a post-production environmentAdvanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects & PremierAble to read and understand code not required but helpfulProven ability to effectively build, organize, lead, and mentor a teamAbility to work well under pressure and within tight deadlinesA track record of designing processes from the ground up to support changing business needsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAgility and ability to quickly pivot between changing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to manage workflows in multiple locations across multiple time zonesAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram formStrong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple prioritiesAbility to learn and process information quicklyThis position is based in our LA head office, and the salary rate for this role is up to $90,000 per annum. The rate will vary depending on the candidates’ skills and experience.
