Job portal Faculty and academic p...Postdoc in Cardiac Functional GenomicsWe are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoc for a 2-year position, commencing on the 1st of February 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.The candidate will be working on a new started project in the lab, aiming at understanding the dynamics of cardiac fibroblasts in fibrosis development.Relevant techniques include drug screening, CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, RNA sequencing (bulk and single cell), proteomics, molecular biology methods, protein analysis and high-resolution imaging using confocal microscopy. An interest or previous experience in R-studio or Python is an advantage.Information on the department can be found at: Department of Biomedical Sciences.Our research groupThe group of Cardiac Functional Genomics is headed by associate professor Pia Rengtved Lundegaard. We study cardiac function, with a particular interest in the fibrotic response in the atrium, and how mutations in genes associated with human cardiac disorders leads to cardiac dysfunction and fibrosis (Ahlberg et al. Nature Comms. 2018, Collins et al, PNAS 2019, Vad et al, JACC: Basic to Transnational Science, 2023). We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and the Maersk Building, and a large, shared zebrafish facility. The faculty has several core facilities which we use regularly. These include core facility for imaging and proteomics.Terms of employment The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 2 years. The starting date is 1st of February 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly salary starts at 39,200 DKK/approx. 5,250 EUR (November 2025 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
